My story with Dubai Recruitment Group & www.LinkYou.info

I’m Adil an employee who was one day struggling to get a job out of my country. Trying my best to learn new things and explore new challenges but never stopped and never give up until i reached were i want to be and Alhamdolilah (Thank to God) still getting amazing offers until now.

I got invitations to speak in International conferences in Duabi, London, different US states, France and in Czech Republic. During my job search i got introduced to the amazing LinkedIn website that i used to stay for long hours on it getting introduced to people and making professional friends everywhere.

Then i thought of making groups of the countries that i want to work in and now i am working in one of those countries. So my first group was Dubai Recruitment in LinkedIn, I created it so that i can get introduce to people in Dubai and amazing that the group kept increasing and increasing till until this moment has 36,090 members. I started receiving a lot and a lot of e-mails from people sending their resumes and asking me for job which i could not get time to read. I started helping to get them introduce to recruiters in my network and accepting introductions. I spend a lot of time on it even though i should spend that time with my family but i wanted to help and i am gaining nothing. I created also Gulf Recruitment, Canada Recruitment, US Recruitment, UK Recruitment etc…..

So i said let me do something to save my time at the same time help others so then i thought of building a website which should be FREE that i attract job seekers then attract recruiters so that they would post jobs and job seekers would apply to those jobs and network with recruiters. I tried asking assistance for the group members to help me in my idea and i received a lot of e-mails but guess what it was not help it was people offering their help but i have to pay for that. I was really shocked that i am doing this for them for FREEEEEEE and that is what i am getting. I felt very bad and didn’t go to the group for some time, then i said to myself those people who did that is only a small % from the group members, i am sure there are a lot of people that would one day appreciate my help and there would be people that would really in need of someone to help them and those people would have families so be helping one person to get a job means sustain a whole family.

Then i worked hard to learn from forums and internet in how to build a website and my first website was built in 2008 in joomla and named it LinkYou.info and i meant by that to link job seekers to recruiters. I use to work in it for a long time to learn who to make it better and better, instate of spending my weekends and holidays with family and friends i use to spend it in the group and the website and fighting with spammers and hackers. I bought templates to be easy to use  but still the members still complaining and it gets slow because a lot of members, then i build it through ning and i paid a monthly subscription fee of about $23 even though i am getting nothing out of it but i though Allah (God) would reward me. I wanted to improve it and make it more faster and helpful and buy a job portal but as i am gaining nothing out of it i tried to add the donate button thought that anyone would be generous to donate but nothing at all, tried to send e-mail to the group members if they could get me advertisements and i would give them % but no one helped. I added Google adds but was not brining that much as you know few cents a day.

 

Then started learning of a better place then now i am here after long time learning on WordPress and trying found good things that would be helpful like allowing members to post their resumes and job seekers to post job and at the same time make it social. I have been doing a lot of testing and i could get everything ready and transfered all members from ning to hear. So, i cancelled my subscription from ning and what happen was the domain that i did the testing in was not LinkYou.info cause that was connected with ning so when i tried to change it and i was happy everything was fine after i imported all members and their posts and after cancelling ning subscription what happened was when you click in any post it takes you to ning which as you know it is already cancelled. So i had to delete it and start from scratch i was not worried i though it is ok i’ll work one more day in it and get it ready again and transfer all members and their posts as i have saved its json files from ning, but i came with a problem of not been able to transfer members from ning to here. I swear from last night about 3am until now about 10:30pm i have only slept for about 1 hour i deleted and reinstalled it for about more then 20 times but with no results and when i started asking for help in WordPress forums one person replied you only can transfer members and post only when your ning web is still working even though you have the files with you, i tried to send e-mail to ning to see if they can return my old website i know that wouldn’t be for free but i can’t do nothing and i hope they could help me out so i can transfer the members and their posts so that the members wouldn’t feel bad about losing their posts.

After sending e-mail to ning they replied to my e-mail saying that there is no free membership with them, if i want to get my network back i need to pay for subscription between each e-mail there is a delay of up to one week , so i agreed and i bought it i was thinking that as soon as i buy it and pay the money it will be activated right away, but it  that was not it. So, i waited the first day but i didn’t get it back so i sent ning help e-mail, second day i couldn’t wait i sent e-mail to same person e-mailed me before she replied after 4 days

It seems that i have been attacked several times and i continue to fix and work hard to get the site working again, i shifted from a host to a host and from another host to another and paid more to get the site more secure and in a better and easy desgin.

There have been people contacting me that they would help but all are asking for money, even though i said it before that i am gaining nothing from the site and i am ready to give them a commission if they help out to generate income. But no one is willing to help for free. But for me i’ll be who i am and try to help as much as i can. I know one day that i’ll win and get big with this.

In my struggle in securing www.LinkYou.info i built a new site with completely different design and for only jobs in Dubai www.DubaiJob.info its new but a lot of people posted their resumes.

I hope that companies would help in posting jobs in both sites http://www.LinkYou.info and http://www.DuabiJob.info its free

 

with all this i am also looking for a job as i am currently working a contract job in Telecom company as Fraud Business Analyst here in Canada which is ending in Dec. The good thing about me i am willing to relocate anywhere in Canada, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi, US, UK i am open to work anywhere
